Hi! I'm a British-Canadian researcher and marketing strategist based between Berlin and London.
Currently: I am a graduate student in Digital Media at Goldsmiths, University of London. My research focuses on algorithmic personalization and the social implications of these technologies. I am also the lead curator at Pexels, one of the world's most widely-used libraries of free photography and videos.
Previously: I have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy with minors in English and German from the University of Toronto, and have also studied German at the Freie Universität Berlin. Parallel to my writing and academic work I have eight years of experience in digital marketing, primarily for companies providing services to creative workers. My current focus is visual strategy, branding, and trend forecasting. Additional areas of expertise include: content creation, management, and strategy; social media management; ad and product copywriting; community management.
And: My writing on art and culture has appeared in Crack Magazine, FASHION Magazine, MUBI Notebook, and Vice, among other places. I also take photos. My photography has appeared in Aint-Bad, Then There Was Us, and TRIP.
